2018 Faces of Charleston

The Face of Spartina Kitchens & Baths: Melissa Koger Watson

As president and Principal Designer of Spartina Kitchens & Baths, Melissa Koger Watson has been cooking up timeless residential specs since 2008, when she launched her I’On-based showroom. With more than two decades of design and sales experience in her portfolio, the designer recognizes that well-executed kitchens must be functional as well as beautiful. To present a unique menu of high-quality products to clients, the full-service kitchen and bath firm is a dealer for multiple custom cabinetry suppliers recognized for their fine craftsmanship. This “Best of Houzz”-nominated designer also stays at the forefront of the design community with her professional designations, including as an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a Professional Member of the National Kitchen & Bath Association.

Watson also knows that successful projects begin with strong client-designer relationships. From planning to installation on both new construction and remodeling projects, she takes time to listen to her customers’ needs and desires as well as follow through on all aspects of the job. Caring for the community around her extends to Watson’s philanthropic life, too, as she donates her services to Charleston Pro Bono’s annual Art on the Beach home tour and other worth causes.
